Ingredients
- 200 g tofu, firm natural
- 1 medium apple, (sweet and sour variety such as Topaz, Jonagold or Jonagored)
- 1 large onion (s)
- 1 teaspoon herbal salt
- 3 teaspoons, heaped horseradish, from the jar (no cream horseradish)
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- some pepper, whiter, freshly ground
- some oil
- 0.5 ½ bunch parsley, smooth

- Coarsely mash the tofu with a fork. Peel and core the apple and cut into small cubes. Peel and dice the onion and sauté in a little oil in the pan until translucent. Add the tofu and apple to the onions and fry a little. Then puree everything finely and season with horseradish, herb salt, soy sauce and pepper. Finally chop the parsley and fold in.
- Allow the spread to cool completely before consumption and then keep it tightly closed in the refrigerator. It stays there for about 1 week.
- The spread tastes particularly good on fresh wholemeal bread or fresh wholemeal bread rolls with beetroot. But it can also be eaten very well as a dip with vegetarian patties!
