Ingredients
- 4 apples, e.g., Braeburn
- 1 roll (s) puff pastry
- 4 tablespoon, heaped honey
- 4 tablespoon, heaped cinnamon sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 4 port. Whipped cream
- 4 port. vanilla icecream

- Peel the apples and remove the core with an apple piercer without the apple breaking apart.
- Mix the honey and cinnamon sugar. Cut the puff pastry into 4 equal parts. Place a piece of puff pastry under each peeled and hollowed out apple and fill each of the apples with a quarter of the honey mixture.
- Carefully shape the puff pastry upwards around the apples so that the apples are completely covered by the puff pastry. Place the finished apples on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and brush with egg yolk.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees circulating air. Then slide the baking sheet onto the middle rail and bake the apple balls for about 20 minutes.
- Serve hot with whipped cream and vanilla ice cream.
