- 1 ½ kg apples
- 1 lemon (s)
- 1 glass cherry (s)
- 200 g butter or mararine
- 150 grams sugar
- 2 drops butter-vanilla flavor
- 1 pinch (s) salt
- 5 medium egg (s)
- 375 grams flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 3 tablespoon mineral water
- 100 g almond (s) (flakes)
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- Fat, for the tin

- Peel the apples and remove the core. Cut into wedges and drizzle with lemon juice. Drain the cherries in a colander.
- Mix the soft butter or margarine, sugar, vanilla flavor and salt with a mixer (hand mixer) until creamy. Mix in the eggs one by one. Mix the flour with the baking powder and fold in. Finally stir in the mineral water.
- Spread the batter on a greased baking sheet (approx. 40 cm).
- Spread the apple wedges and cherries on the dough.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200 ° (convection 175 °) for 30-40 minutes.
- Sprinkle with the almonds about 15 minutes before the end of the baking time.
- Dust the cooled cake with icing sugar.
