Ingredients
- 500 g apples, peeled, quartered or eihth, cored
- 250 ml water
- 50 grams sugar or more
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

- Bring the water with the sugar to the boil, add the apples and cook covered over low heat (shake the pot more often) for 10 - 20 minutes, depending on the hardness of the variety, until soft and translucent.
- Then add the lemon juice and add sugar if necessary.
