Instructions

  1. Wash the apples and cut out the core. Steam with a little water. When the apples are done (burst open) they are passed through a coarse sieve (my grandmother used to do this). Now I add 1 to 3 tablespoons of mild summer honey or rapeseed honey to 500 g of compote. This gives the special taste. A shot of white wine (Gewürztraminer) with it is also very tasty.
  2. Another tip for boiling down: Yoghurt jars with screw caps (500 g) are filled and heated in the microwave (450 watts) for about 2 minutes. Then immediately screw on the cover and place it on the cover.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
