Ingredients

  • 300 grams flour
  • 1 apple
  • 3 tablespoon oat flakes, crunchy
  • 1 point baking powder
  • 100 g suar
  • 1 point vanilla sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 125 g butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar beet syrup
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 3 tablespoon milk for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. Mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Crumble the butter into the flour mixture with your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
  4. Peel and roughly grate the apple, then add it to the flour mixture along with the oat flakes, sugar beet syrup, and egg.
  5. Knead everything for 1-2 minutes until combined.
  6. Divide the dough into two equal pieces and shape each piece into a ball.
  7. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, press each ball flat, and cut each into 4 parts.
  8. Brush the pieces with milk.
  9. Bake for 20 minutes at 220°C (428°F) until golden brown.
  10. Cool for 5-10 minutes and serve warm.
