- 125 g hazelnuts, round
- 75 g semolina
- 250 g apples, rated (weih after ratin)
- 0.5 teaspoon ½ baking powder
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- Couverture (chocolate) or powdered sugar
- Fat for the shape
- Flour for the mold

- Separate the eggs. Mix the 6 egg yolks with the sugar for at least 7 minutes until very frothy. Then add the ground hazelnuts, semolina, grated apples (expressed well), baking powder and cocoa powder and stir. Beat the 6 egg whites until stiff and then fold in. Pour the dough into a greased cake tin (26 cm) dusted with flour.
- Bake in the preheated oven at 180 ° C on the lower rack for about 1 hour.
- To serve, cover with chocolate couverture or dust with powdered sugar.
- Fresh, light, fruity and good - this apple sponge cake only tastes really good after one or two days!
