How to make Australian meat strudel
Directions
Cut the bun or stale white bread into cubes without crusts.
Soak in cold water (add water for 10-15 minutes).
Peel the onion and chop finely.
Peel the garlic, chop finely and mix with the onion.
Heat oil in a frying pan. Simmer onions and garlic in oil over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
Squeeze the bread.
Mix minced meat with bun, onion, garlic. Mix.
Then mix the minced meat with egg, mustard and spices.
Form the minced meat in a strip on the film.
Lay foil or parchment paper separately. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 3 mm
Layout the minced meat so that later you can put the meat in the “envelope” of the rolled dough.
Pinch the edges.
If you wish, you can brush the edges of the meat strudel with a beaten egg.
Pierce the strudel in several places with a fork so that the steam does not burst the shell during baking.
Preheat the oven.
Put the strudel with meat in a hot oven (180 degrees) and bake for about 30 minutes until a crispy crust appears.
