Instructions

  1. Use the mixer to mix the flour, eggs, milk and water into a dough. Season to taste with salt.
  2. Press the dough through a dumpling sieve and let it simmer briefly in salted water (let it boil once until the spaetzle floats on the surface, this goes very quickly). Then pour into a sieve, pour cold water over it and allow to drain.
  3. Fry the bacon and leek in the oil, add the spaetzle - stir. Then add the sour cream. Finally, mix in the grated cheese and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Salad goes very well as a side dish.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
