Ingredients

  • 1 bottle vodka
  • 5 apples (organic Boskoop Christmas apples)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (s)
  • 1 vanilla pod (s)
  • 3 carnation (s)
  • 2 star anise
  • 250 g rock suar, lihter

Instructions

  1. Wash the apples, remove the casing and cut into wedges. Don`t peel. Halve the vanilla pod.
  2. Put all ingredients in a large saucepan and stir vigorously. Cover and leave to stand for 2 weeks.
  3. If you like, you can try it in between and possibly sweeten it up. Pass the liquid through a sieve and fill into clean bottles.
  4. Serve the baked apple schnapps hot in pinnecks with a dash of cream and a straw.
  5. Tip: Do not throw away the pickled apples. You can use this for an apple pie.
