Instructions

  1. Bring a saucepan of water to a boil over high heat. Blanch the frozen green beans for 6-8 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. Wash the beef, pat dry, and cut into cubes.
  3. Heat roughly 1-2 teaspoons of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add sesame seeds and roast for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Grate the fresh garlic and ginger. Core the chilli pepper and cut into thin rings. Combine these with the roasted sesame seeds and oil. Add teriyaki sauce and stir well to create a marinade.
  5. Add the beef cubes to the marinade, mix well, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  6. Finely chop the onion. Thinly slice the garlic. Cut the chilli pepper into thin rings.
  7. Heat oil in a wok or pan over high heat. Sear the marinated beef for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour any remaining marinade into the pan and stir to deglaze.
  8. Add the blanched green beans, chopped onion, garlic slices, and chilli pepper rings. Fry over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes until hot and caramelized. If the mixture becomes too thick, add water a little at a time.
  9. Transfer to serving plates and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
