Ingredients

  • 1 kg beef (preferably wad ham)
  • 5 medium onion (s) (approx. 00 g)
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • 2 teaspoons flour
  • 3 teaspoons marjoram, dried
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 600 ml beef broth, strong, instant
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the meat (approx. 2 mm), season with salt and pepper. Fry in hot oil in two portions until browned and remove from the pan.
  2. Add more oil as needed and lightly roast the diced onions. Roast the tomato paste and flour only briefly and add the broth, stirring well. Add the pressed or chopped garlic, bay leaf and marjoram, bring to the boil and add the roasted meat again.
  3. Let the lid simmer until soft - depending on the type of meat and thickness, this takes about 1 1/2 hours - stir more often in between. When the meat is nice and soft, season well with the spices if necessary.
  4. As a side dish, I recommend salad and bread dumplings or Ebly (we usually have both plus a few vegetables), fried potatoes or hash browns go well with it.
