Ingredients

  • g 1,200 currants, frozen or fresh
  • 600 g preservin suar 2: 1
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon pepper, black, ground
  • 1 pinch chili powder

Instructions

  1. Mix the prepared currants (washed and without stalks, defrost frozen fruits beforehand) in a blender or puree with a hand blender. Then put them in a saucepan with the other ingredients and stir everything well. Bring the mixture to the boil while stirring and when it boils properly, let it boil for 3 - 5 minutes with the lid closed. Stir occasionally.
  2. Pour the jam into jars, close immediately and turn upside down until they have cooled down.
  3. Red currants, black currants, or a mixture of both can be used for this jam.
