Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 150 g butter
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 3 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 100 grams flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ baking powder
  • 2 tablespoon kirsch
  • 2 tablespoon cherry juice
  • 1 glass cherry (s), drained

For covering:

  • 200 g cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 200 ml cream
  • Chocolate shavings
  • cherry (s), (from the glass)

Instructions

  1. Grease a baking pan of approx. 25 x 15 or 20 x 20 cm and put it in a cool place.
  2. Sort out some of the drained cherries for the garnish.
  3. Preheat the oven to 190 ° C top / bottom heat.
  4. For the dough, melt the chocolate in a water bath while stirring constantly.
  5. Stir in the butter, remove the mixture from the heat and refrigerate.
  6. Now beat the eggs with a pinch of salt until frothy, pour in the sugar and keep beating until the mixture is thick and creamy.
  7. Mix the cocoa with the flour and baking powder, stir into the egg cream together with the chocolate mixture, kirsch and cherry juice.
  8. Now pour the mixture into the prepared form, distribute the cherries on top and “press in” a little if necessary.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes. The brownies should of course still be moist inside when they come out of the oven!
  10. Then let cool down well
  11. For the topping, mix the cream cheese with the powdered sugar until creamy. Whip the cream until stiff and fold under. Refrigerate.
  12. As soon as the brownies have cooled down, remove them from the mold and place on a cake plate
  13. (Whoever overturns them: please put them on the plate so that the cherries are on top again!).
  14. Now spread the cream cheese and cream on it, put the cherries that have been set aside and sprinkle everything with the chocolate shavings.
