Instructions

  1. I always use 3 l schnapps bottles from the catering trade as a container.
  2. Alternately fill the bottle with the cold washed and drained blackberries and the rock candy in 3 steps.
  3. Cut the vanilla pod lengthways, open it a little and add halfway through the filling. Then pour in the brandy and the wheat grain. Close the jar with a cork (champagne corks fit with 3 l bottles) and turn a few times so that everything mixes a little.
  4. Store in a dark room at approx. 20 degrees for at least 6 weeks and turn a few times every 2-3 days.
  5. At the end of the storage time, pour first through a coarser tea strainer, then through a tea strainer and fill into bottles of the desired size.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
