Boiled Crayfish Sandwiches

The products in combination that this recipe offers can be served not only in the form of sandwiches, but also as a salad. Sprinkle with chopped onions or add avocado or orange wedges. And if the fruity version of the salad isn’t for you, you can add asparagus and cherry tomatoes. Boiled crayfish tails can be replaced with shrimp. Try it!

Ingredients

  • Crayfish tails (boiled) or boiled shrimp – 1 kg
  • Mayonnaise – ½ cup
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Fresh herbs (cilantro, basil, chives), chopped – 1 zhmenka
  • Anchovies in oil – 1 pc.
  • Sugar – a pinch
  • Rolls (Italian bread) – 4 pcs.
  • Lettuce (lettuce) – 1 head of cabbage
  • Fresh peaches – 2 pcs.
  • Black pepper, freshly ground
  • Additional ingredients for salad (optional and optional):
  • Green or red onions
  • Avocados and oranges
  • Asparagus and cherry tomatoes

Directions

  1. Gently peel the crayfish tails (or shrimp). Divide into 4 servings.
  2. Make a spicy sauce. Combine mayonnaise, lime juice, herbs, chopped anchovy fillets. Add black pepper to taste and mix well.
  3. Cut the bread in half, but not completely.
  4. Uncover and brush the inside with cooked spicy mayonnaise.
  5. Place lettuce and crayfish tails (or shrimps) mixed with peach wedges, top with mayonnaise.
  6. Serve the sandwiches right away.
