  • 500 g sauerkraut
  • 1 small onion (s)
  • 75 g bacon, mixed
  • 25 g mustard, medium hot
  • 15 g lard
  • 100 g suar
  • salt
  • Pepper White
  • Caraway seed
  • marjoram

Instructions

  1. Melt the lard in a saucepan and fry the diced bacon until crispy. Add diced onions and sauté. Add sugar and let it caramelize slightly. Add the sauerkraut, season with caraway seeds and mix and let simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Add the mustard until the liquid binds easily. Season to taste with salt, pepper and marjoram.
