Brizol “Hawaiian”

Brizol is, in general, not a dish, but a method of its preparation – any minced meat, fried like a pancake in a beaten egg. Hawaiian brizol turned out spontaneously and exceeded all expectations. It is very tasty and easy and quick to prepare. Why Hawaiian? In culinary gloss, if pineapples are added to the dish, it immediately becomes “Hawaiian”. This dish also contains pineapples.

Ingredients

  • Minced pork – 100-120 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Vegetable or butter – 1 tbsp
    For filling for 1 brizol:
  • Canned pineapples – 1 circle
  • Ham or ham sausage – 2 slices
  • Hard cheese, grated – 1 tbsp
  • Dry white wine – 50 ml
  • Pineapple juice – 50 ml
  • Broth – 50 ml
  • Flour – 1 teaspoon
  • Hard cheese, finely grated – 1 full teaspoon
  • Greens, finely chopped – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Canned pineapples – 2 rings, very finely diced

Directions

  1. For the filling, cut pineapple, ham into small cubes and rub the cheese on a coarse grater. Let’s mix everything. Salt minced meat, pepper and knead well.
  2. Roll 100-120 g of minced meat into a bun, then make a flat cake out of it. Roll out the cake with a rolling pin thinly between two films, but to the size of the pan.
  3. On one side, remove the film from the minced meat and put the minced meat on the egg with this side. We remove the second film, being careful not to damage the minced meat cake. Usually, it comes off easily.
  4. Heat the fat in a frying pan and, holding the plate low over it, move the egg and minced meat into the frying pan with a spatula. After 2-3 minutes, turn the pancake over and fry the brizol on the other side. Put the minced meat up on a plate.
  5. Put the filling and wrap. Decorate the brizol with fresh vegetables. But that is not all. Tomato sauce and mayonnaise, which are served with regular brizoli, are not suitable here. I had to come up with my own “Hawaiian” sauce.
  6. For the sauce, fry the flour in the remaining fat in the pan. Add wine, broth, juice, and stir well, add cheese and stir again. Add pineapples and herbs, salt, and pepper. You could bring this sauce in a blender until smooth. But, firstly, there was not enough of it and it would simply spread over the blender. And, secondly, these transparent pineapple pieces give the sauce something Hawaiian.
  7. Pour the resulting brizol sauce on top.
