Instructions

  1. Divide the broccoli into small florets, peel the stalk and cut into small pieces. Cut the onion into not too small cubes.
  2. In a pan with a lid, heat the oil and let the onions take on color. It takes a few minutes. Dust generously with cayenne pepper and stir. Add the broth and the broccoli florets and steam with the lid closed and at a reduced temperature until the desired firmness is reached. Stir every now and then, letting the condensation flow into the pan.
  3. As a side dish, this is definitely enough for 2 people. Anyone who knows me knows that it is a main course for me.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
