Broccoli in Sour Cream

A quick, simple, and delicious side dish of broccoli in sour cream sauce.

Ingredients

  • Broccoli (frozen or fresh) – 800 g
  • Sour cream – 250 ml
  • Mayonnaise – 3-5 tbsp
  • Fresh basil – 2-5 branches
  • Sugar – 2 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Garlic – 1-3 cloves
  • Vinegar – 1 tbsp
  • Lemon (for juice) – 0.5 pcs.
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon

Directions

  1. We prepare products according to the recipe for broccoli in sour cream.
  2. How to cook broccoli in sour cream:
  3. Chop the basil finely. Peel and crush the garlic.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix all the ingredients of the sauce: first, combine the mayonnaise and sour cream together.
  5. Add basil, sugar, pepper, lemon juice, vinegar. Mix thoroughly.
  6. Cook broccoli (according to package directions) – it is very important not to overcook. To do this, bring the water to a boil (1.5-2 l), salt it (1-2 pinches), dip broccoli inflorescences into the water. Bring to a boil, cook for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Then we drain the water and put the cabbage in the salad bowl. Pour the sauce over the broccoli. Mix gently – broccoli in sour cream is ready!
  8. Serve the cooked broccoli in sour cream sauce.
