Ingredients

  • 500 g Brussels sprouts, chopped up
  • 4 sausages (Brägen)
  • 100 g carrot (s), peeled, sliced
  • 250 g potato (s), peeled, sliced
  • 1 leek stick (s), cut into rings
  • 200 g smoked bacon, mixed, cut into slices
  • 2 medium onion (s), diced
  • 60 g lard
  • 1 ½ liter meat stock, possibly instant
  • Salt and pepper, black, from the mill

Instructions

  1. Bring the meat stock to a boil and simmer the carrots, potatoes, leek and bacon for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat the lard in a pan and sweat the onions in it.
  3. Add the Brussels sprouts and onions to the stock, season with salt and pepper and simmer over a low heat for approx. 20 minutes. Add the sausages 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time and heat.
