Ingredients

  • 1 cup buckwheat (250-300 ml)
  • 1 cup water (250-300 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 tablespoon flour
  • 1 onion (s), finely diced
  • garlic
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoon oil

Instructions

  1. Bring the buckwheat to the boil with water and salt and let it swell (it doesn`t take long - just until the water is absorbed). Stir in the flour and knead with the onion, garlic to taste and the soy sauce.
  2. Shape patties with damp hands and fry in hot oil for about 5-8 minutes on each side.
  3. Makes about 5 pieces.
  4. Ideal for parties, hamburgers and also liked by many non-vegetarians. Buckwheat is very healthy and has a strong taste of its own.

  6. If you like, you can of course also use leeks, carrots, spring onions, peppers, etc. - just season well and make sure that it binds well (e.g. with flour or an egg substitute).
