Ingredients

  • 150 g feta cheese
  • 100 g cheese
  • 1 tomato (s)
  • 1 cucumber (s)
  • 1 red pepper (s)
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 100 g ham
  • 2 egg (s), hard-boiled
  • 0.5 ½ bunch parsley
  • 2 hot peppers

Instructions

  1. Dice all ingredients except about a third of the feta and pepper and mix. Finely chop the parsley and add. The mixture is poured into small bowls in portions. The bowl is skillfully turned over a salad plate. The salad is now on the plate, the original shape in the bowl is retained. The sheep cheese is rubbed over the salad with a kitchen grater. Garnish with pepperoni and olives.
  2. This goes well with farmer`s bread, flatbread, white wine.
  3. You can use goat cheese instead of sheep cheese.
  4. Ovchar is the Bulgarian word for shepherd, hence the name Ovcharskasalat.
