Ingredients

  • 1 kg beef, the best, finely cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 5 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 5 tablespoon sugar
  • 5 tablespoon mirin
  • 5 tablespoon sesame oil, pure
  • 2 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped or paste
  • 2 tablespoon spring onion (s), cut into thin rings
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, crushed or sesame powder
  • Pepper, freshly ground black

Instructions

  1. Bring beef to room temperature. Mix soy sauce, sugar, mirin, sesame oil, garlic, spring onion, sesame seeds, and black pepper in a bowl. Add beef and stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Heat a grill or broiler to high heat. Cook beef for roughly 2 minutes per side, turning frequently, until cooked through. If using a broiler, place marinated beef on a tray before cooking.
  3. Serve with rice and Korean side salads.
