Ingredients

  • 500 g apples, aromatic (Cox Orane, Jonathan)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar, brown (or sugar cane granules)
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 3 cl calvados
  • 12 scoops ice cream, vanilla or cream ice cream

Instructions

  1. Wash, quarter, peel the apples, remove the core and cut the quarters into thin wedges.
  2. Melt the butter with the sugar and cinnamon in a pan (which is as heavy as possible). Add the apple wedges, stir everything and cook covered over low to medium heat for about 5 minutes until soft, turning occasionally in between.
  3. Pour the calvados over the hot apples, ignite and distribute the apple slices over ice while they are still burning.
  4. Goes well with vanilla and ice cream. 2 balls per person.
