A simple but incredibly delicious appetizer in the form of miniature herring sandwiches. The curious thing about this recipe is that the pieces of salted herring are first marinated with spices and vodka. The butter is mixed with coriander and dill and becomes extremely aromatic.
Ingredients
Fillet of lightly salted herring (in pieces) – 200 g
Green sweet and sour apple – 1 pc.
Butter – 100 g
Black bread (Borodinsky) – about 3 large slices
Coriander (grains) – 1 teaspoon
Fresh dill – 1/3 bunch
Vodka – 2 tbsp
Sugar – a pinch
Salt to taste
Ground hot pepper – to taste
Lemon – 1/2 pc.
Directions
Mix pieces of salted herring fillet with vodka, granulated sugar, hot pepper. We marinate for up to 3 hours.
Dry the coriander seeds for a couple of minutes in a hot frying pan, then grind in a mortar.
We wash the dill, chop finely.
Mix soft butter with a pinch of salt, chopped coriander, and dill.
Peel the apple, cut it into thin slices. Pour lemon juice immediately to prevent browning.
Cut slices of bread without crusts into small triangles. Lubricate with fragrant oil.
We spread the apple slices and pieces of herring. Decorate with green onions.
