The recipe for a very tasty hot mini-appetizer – unusual canapes with beef liver, which are very good to serve at buffets or parties. Delicate liver, aromatic apple, caramelized onion – delicious, satisfying, and beautiful!
Ingredients
Beef liver – 300 g
Sandwich bread – 6 slices or mini buns – 3 pcs.
Apple – 1 pc.
Bulb onions – 1 pc.
Olive oil – 3 tbsp
Wheat flour – 2 tbsp
Salt – 1 teaspoon
Parsley – 10 g
Mayonnaise – 1 tbsp
Directions
Let’s prepare all the products for the beef liver canapes.
Remove the core from the apple using a special tool. Cut the apple into rings.
Pour 1 tablespoon into the pan. vegetable oil and fry the apple rings over high heat for 2 minutes on each side. IMPORTANT: apples must be fried over high heat so that they caramelize, and not steamed and become soft.
Slice the canapé bread. (I have small portioned buns, I cut them in half lengthwise.) IMPORTANT: The size of a canapé usually suggests that it can be eaten in 1-2 bites. (Bread can be toasted if desired.)
We clean the beef liver from films and cut into portions, the size of bread for canapes.
Add salt to the flour. Dip all the pieces of liver in flour.
Fry the liver in heated olive oil (2 tablespoons) until cooked, 4-5 minutes on each side. We transfer the finished liver to a plate.
Peel the onion and cut it into thin rings.
Fry onions in the pan in which we cooked the liver. Fry over medium heat, stirring for 7-10 minutes, until golden brown. IMPORTANT: Do not let the onion burn or brown too much, otherwise it will taste bitter in the dish.
Now we lay out all the ingredients of the canapés in layers. Grease the bread with mayonnaise.
Put a circle of apples on top.
Put a piece of liver and some caramelized onion on the apple.
Finely chop the parsley. Sprinkle parsley on each canapé. We fasten the canapé layers by piercing them with a skewer.
Serve ready-made canapes with the beef liver as a hot snack.
