Canapes with Cheese Balls and Red Fish

A cool combination for a festive table – red fish, cheese, and some mayonnaise! Today we are preparing the snack that is eaten first! Well, it is very tasty and even beautiful!

Ingredients

  • Hard or processed cheese – 200 g
  • Red fish (salted) – 100 g
  • Black bread – 4-5 pieces
  • Mayonnaise – 2-3 tbsp
  • Walnuts – 50 g
  • Dill greens – to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Cut off the crusts from the bread. We cut each piece of bread into four parts.
  2. Grate the cheese on a fine grater, add mayonnaise and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. From the resulting mass, we form cheese balls (the size of a walnut).
  4. Grind the nuts into large crumbs. Roll half the balls (breaded) in chopped nuts.
  5. Roll the other half in finely chopped dill.
  6. Cut the red salted fish into thin slices.
  7. We try to wrap each fish plate in a “rose”.
  8. We collect appetizer. At the bottom is a piece of bread. Then we spread the cheese ball. And on top, we fix the “rose” of fish with a skewer.
