Ingredients

  • 250 ml cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 150 ml water
  • 250 grams sugar
  • 300 ml milk
  • 2 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • some whipped cream as a topping

Instructions

  1. For the caramel sauce, first mix the sugar and water in a saucepan and simmer over a low flame and without stirring (if necessary just swirl the saucepan a little) until the water has completely evaporated and the color has reached an amber-like brown. This will take some time so be patient!
  2. Meanwhile stir the vanilla extract into the cream.
  3. When the melted sugar has reached the right color, remove the saucepan from the heat and carefully add the vanilla-cream mixture, stirring constantly. If it clumps, put everything back on the stove and stir. Now let everything cool down and fill a small bottle with the caramel sauce.
  4. Now distribute the caramel sauce on the wall of the cup and on the bottom of the cup as desired. Froth the milk and add it to the cup together with the cocoa powder. Now a little whipped cream on top and a little caramel sauce as a topping.
  5. The whole thing also tastes great with coffee and milk foam!
