Caramelized Onions

Caramelized onions are one of the highlights of French cuisine. It goes well with meat, poultry or fish, is easy to prepare, and appetizing in appearance.

Ingredients

  • Shallots – 200 g
  • Honey – 50 g

Directions

  1. Peel the onion and cut it lengthwise into 4 pieces.
  2. Put the prepared onion on a baking sheet and pour over the honey.
  3. Preheat the oven. Bake the onion at 180 degrees for 25 minutes.
  4. Refrigerate.
  5. The caramelized onions are ready. It is a great addition to meat, fish, pates, cheeses, etc.
