Ingredients

  • 500 g chicken breasts
  • 3 spring onion (s)
  • 1 jar bamboo shoot (s)
  • 2 red pepper (s)
  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil

For the marinade:

  • 2 large cloves garlic
  • 3 tablespoon honey
  • 5 tablespoon soy sauce, sweet
  • 4 tablespoon sherry, drier
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon spice mixture, Chinese
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 chilli pepper (s), red
  • 1 lime (s)
  • 4 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken into thin strips. Cut the spring onion into rings and the bell pepper into bite-sized pieces.
  2. For the marinade, cut the garlic into small pieces. Cut the chilli pepper into thin rings and mix with the other marinade ingredients. It is best to marinate the meat with the marinade in an all-purpose bag with a zipper for 1 to 2 hours.
  3. Heat some sesame oil in the pan and briefly fry the pepper pieces in it, remove and keep warm. Heat the pan again. Take the chicken out of the marinade, drain a little and fry in the pan. Pour the rest of the marinade on and add water if necessary. Finally add the spring onions, bamboo shoots and pepper pieces and continue to cook.
