Cauliflower Alfredo Sauce

In this variation of the popular white sauce, cauliflower plays a major role. You can add hot spices or a mixture of Italian herbs if desired.

Ingredients

  • Cauliflower 1 head
  • Chesnee 4 cloves
  • Olive oil 3 tablespoon. l.
  • Dried basil 1 teaspoon
  • Onion Powder 1 teaspoon
  • Salt pepper taste

Directions

  1. Wash cauliflower and divide into inflorescences. Boil in 3 glasses of water for about 10-15 minutes. 
  2. Chop the garlic and fry in olive oil at low heat. 
  3. In a blender, combine the cauliflower, 1/2 cup water, garlic, olive oil, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add milk to bring the sauce to the desired consistency.
