Instructions

  1. Peel and dice the celery and cook in a little salted water for about 15 minutes.
  2. In the meantime, mash the potatoes, cut the shallot into fine cubes and the chives into rings. Grate the cheese or just chop it into small pieces.
  3. When the celery is done, mash it too. If there is still liquid in the pot, pour it off beforehand. Let the celery cool a little, then knead everything, including the egg, and season with salt and pepper. Add breadcrumbs if necessary.
  4. Shape small patties and fry them slowly in a little oil over medium heat.
  5. A dip or a hearty tomato sauce and a fresh salad go very well with this.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
