Ingredients

  • 2 bell peppers, red and green
  • 3 onion (s)
  • 1 roll, dry
  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 egg (s)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 slice (s) cheese, medieval Gouda, thick
  • 6 tablespoon oil
  • 2 tablespoon vinegar (wine vinegar)
  • 1 pinch (s) sugar
  • Water for soaking, lukewarm

Instructions

  1. Clean and wash the peppers. Finely (!) Dice each ½ red and green pods. Soak the rolls in lukewarm water. Dice 2 onions.
  2. Knead the minced meat, squeezed bun, egg and diced paprika and onion. Season well with salt, pepper and chilli powder. Cut the cheese into 8 cubes.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Shape the meat dough into 8 meatballs, pressing 1 cheese cube into the center each time. Fry for 4-5 minutes on each side over medium heat.
  4. Mix vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar and 4 tablespoons of oil. Cut the remaining peppers and onions into small pieces. Mix both with the salad sauce and let it steep for a moment. Serve with the meatballs.
  5. Boiled potatoes taste good with it.
