- 450 g round beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 large onion (s)
- 120 g cheddar cheese
- 5 egg (s)
- 250 g flour
- 750 g breadcrumbs
- Oil for deep-frying

- Peel and squeeze the garlic clove.
- Season the meat with salt, pepper and garlic. Mix well.
- Halve the onion and then cut out large rings. Cut the cheddar into square slices.
- Fill each onion ring with a little mince. Place a cheddar slice on each. Cover with mince and press down well.
- Put the flour and breadcrumbs in a bowl each. Whisk the eggs in another bowl.
- First dip the filled onion rings one after the other in egg, flour and breadcrumbs. For a crisp breading, just dip it one more time in the egg and breadcrumbs.
- Fry the rings in a deep fryer or saucepan. Drain on paper towels. Serve with your favorite sauces.
