Ingredients

  • 400 g chicken breast fillet (s)
  • 50 ml soy sauce, preferably very pure
  • 2 tablespoon honey, spicy (thyme honey is great)
  • 200 ml sesame oil, made from roasted seeds
  • some cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Clean the chicken breast fillets very neatly, remove all tendons and cut into approx. 5 cm long, narrow strips. In a bowl, whisk the honey with the soy sauce well with the cayenne and have the bowl ready. Have a double layer of kitchen paper ready next to the stove.
  2. Heat the sesame oil well in a large pan. And now the small pieces of chicken come in portions in the fat. When they are nice, golden brown, drain them briefly on kitchen paper and add them to the soy-honey mixture while it is still hot.
  3. Don`t put too much chicken in the pan at once - it shouldn`t start boiling.
  4. When the pieces of meat are nicely marinated, you can put them cold in a salad, cover a sandwich with them or eat them out of the bowl with your fingers. The brew is delicious.
  5. But they are best as an insert in a spicy lentil dish.
