Ingredients

  • 0.5 ½ roast chicken, fried or grilled
  • 400 g jacket potato (s), cooked
  • 150 g pork belly, smoked
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 2 tablespoon clarified butter
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 egg (s), optional
  • Chives, optional

Instructions

  1. Peel the boiled potatoes, cut them into slices and fry them in clarified butter until they are colored.
  2. Cut the bacon into strips and leave in another pan, cut the onion into half rings, add and fry until they have a little color.
  3. Remove the chicken from the bones, cut into cubes with the skin and add to the pan with the bacon. Add the fried potatoes, mix everything well and season with salt and pepper.
  4. If desired, the Gröstl can be served sprinkled with a fried egg and chopped chives.
