Chicken Rolls with Cheese and Bell Pepper Ingredients

  • Chicken fillet – 1 kg
  • Bulgarian pepper – 150 g
  • Processed cheese – 100 g
  • Hard cheese – 100 g
  • Green onions – 30 g
  • Bread crumbs – 100 g
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tablespoon.
  • Spices to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Chicken Rolls with Cheese and Bell Pepper Instructions

  1. Cut the washed chicken fillets into ¼-inch (6 mm) slices and pound each slice with a meat mallet to an even thickness.
  2. Rub all sides of each pounded chicken slice with salt, pepper, and spices to taste.
  3. Dice the bell pepper into small cubes and finely chop the green onions.
  4. Grate both the hard cheese and processed cheese using a fine grater.
  5. Mix the diced bell pepper, chopped green onions, grated hard cheese, and grated processed cheese in a bowl.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the vegetable oil with salt and spices to taste.
  7. Place filling along the center of each pounded chicken slice, then roll up tightly and secure the seam with toothpicks.
  8. Dip each chicken roll into the oil-spice mixture to coat, then roll in the breadcrumbs, pressing gently so they adhere.
  9. Line a baking dish with parchment paper, lightly oil it, and arrange the breaded chicken rolls seam-side down.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C (428°F) for 30-35 minutes, until the coating is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F).
