Ingredients

  • 300 g chicken breast fillet (s)
  • 2 tablespoon oil, (soybean oil)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce, sweet
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon sake
  • 50 g sprin onion (s)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • Chilli flakes

Instructions

  1. Wash and pat dry the chicken breast fillets.
  2. Cut the chicken into thin slices, then cut each slice into 3-5 cm squares.
  3. Thread the chicken squares onto wooden skewers.
  4. Cut the spring onions into thin rings and finely chop the garlic clove.
  5. In a bowl, combine the soybean oil, sesame oil, sweet soy sauce, honey, sake, spring onion rings, chopped garlic, and chili flakes to make the marinade.
  6. Place the skewers in a container and pour the marinade over them, ensuring all pieces are coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 12 hours or overnight.
  7. Remove the skewers from the marinade. Place on a preheated grill over medium heat and cook 3-4 minutes on each side until the thickest part reaches an internal temperature of 74°C (165°F).
  8. Alternatively, heat a non-stick pan or skillet over medium heat. Place the skewers in the pan and cook about 2-3 minutes per side until the thickest part reaches an internal temperature of 74°C (165°F).
