Chicken Stuffed with Cheese

Can’t think of what to cook for lunch or dinner? Try this amazingly tasty and satisfying dish – chicken stuffed with cheese at home, baked under a cheese crust.

Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • Cream cheese – 200 Gram
  • Mayonnaise – 50 Grams
  • Hard cheese – 200 Grams
  • Garlic – 1-2 Cloves
  • Fresh Basil – To taste
  • Spinach – 200 Grams
  • Salt – 1 Pinch
  • Pepper – 1 Pinch
  • Chicken breast – 6 Pieces
  • Mozzarella Cheese – 100 Grams
  • Cherry tomatoes – 6-8 Pieces (optional)

Directions

  1. Wash the chicken fillet, dry it a little and make an incision with a sharp knife, forming a pocket for the filling.
  2. In a small bowl combine cream cheese with mayonnaise and stir. Peel the garlic and pass through a press. Add fresh chopped basil and spinach to the filling. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Divide the hard cheese in half and cut one part into thin flakes with a knife. Add to the rest of the ingredients and mix well. If desired, this simple recipe for chicken stuffed with cheese can also be supplemented with pickled cucumbers for piquancy.
  3. Gently put the filling into the pocket, pressing firmly with a spoon.
  4. Grease a heatproof dish with a little vegetable oil and lay out the fillets. Season the chicken with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add the halved cherries to the remaining filling and mix well.
  6. Put the cheese mass on top of the chicken and send the mold to the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, grate the mozzarella and the other half of the hard cheese to taste.
  8. Remove the mold from the oven, sprinkle with grated cheese and send it back to the oven.
  9. Bake the dish until golden brown on top.
  10. When the chicken stuffed with cheese at home is ready, the dish can be sprinkled with fresh herbs or supplemented with fresh vegetables and served.
