Chicken wings Baked in Coconut Flakes

Another way to cook chicken wings in an original and tasty way is to bake them in coconut flakes. This crispy breading allows the chicken to retain its juiciness and gives a light, pleasant aroma to the dish.

Ingredients

  • Chicken wings – 10 pcs. (1 kg)
  • Coconut flakes – 3 tbsp
  • Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp
  • Adjika (or ketchup, or tomato sauce) – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil (for greasing the baking sheet) – 1 tbsp

For filing (optional):

  • Parsley to taste
  • Sauce (any) – to taste

Directions

  1. Prepare the required ingredients. Instead of adjika, you can use tomato sauce or ketchup. Rinse the chicken wings and pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. Cut the chicken wings in thirds at the joint. Remove the smallest parts of the wings – they are not suitable for baking. Season the chicken with salt. Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees.
  3. Combine mayonnaise and adjika in a deep bowl, stir.
  4. Transfer the wings to the sauce bowl. Stir so that each piece is covered with sauce on all sides.
  5. Then roll each wing in the coconut.
  6. Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil. Place the coconut wings in one layer on a baking sheet. Bake the wings in a preheated oven for 25-30 minutes (focus on your oven). If, after 15-20 minutes from the start of baking, the wings are browned, you can cover them with foil and bake further
  7. Chicken wings baked in coconut flakes are ready.
  8. Transfer the coconut wings to a plate and serve with herbs and your favorite sauce.
  9. The wings can be served as a separate dish or with a side dish. Chicken meat goes well with mashed potatoes.
