Ingredients

  • 200 g butter or mararine, soft

  • 375 grams flour
  • 50 g cocoa powder, unsweetened
  • 5 egg (s)
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 0.25 liter ¼ coffee, boiled, black
  • 1 tablespoon rum (more if necessary)
  • 1 pck. Dark chocolate couverture

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients except for the couverture in a mixing bowl and pour onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  2. The dough is viscous, that`s how it should be. Therefore, use a generous piece of baking paper and fold up the sides approx. 2 cm.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven at 180 ° C to 200 ° C top / bottom heat for about 20 minutes.
  4. Melt the couverture in a water bath and distribute it evenly on the cooled cake. Let it set and serve.
  5. Tip: When used as a party cake, Smarties or similar can be easily pressed into the warm couverture as a decoration.
