Ingredients

  • 400 g turkey schnitzel
  • 5 teaspoon rapeseed oil
  • 1 piece (s) onion (s)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • salt

For the spice mix: Gyros spice

  • 2 teaspoons oregano
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ paprika powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ rosemary
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ cumin
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ coriander powder
  • 1 pinch (s) cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Put all the ingredients for the gyros spice in a larger freezer bag, close it and mix everything thoroughly. Peel the onion and garlic. Halve the onion and cut into fine rings. Finely chop the garlic. Wash the turkey schnitzel, pat dry and cut into fine strips. Place in the freezer bag with the seasoning together with 2 teaspoons of oil, onion rings and chopped garlic. Mix everything and put in the fridge for about 1 hour. Then heat 3 teaspoons of oil in a large pan and fry the meat all around. Finally, add salt to taste. Serve with coleslaw and tzatziki in a homemade pita bread. A total of 12 points, with 4 servings per serving 3 points.
