Ingredients

For the dough:

  • 50 g cornstarch
  • 200 g flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ baking powder
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 150 grams sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ cardamom
  • 1 pinch clove (s), ground
  • 125 g butter, (or mararine)

For covering:

  • 1 glass sour cherries
  • 35 g cornstarch
  • 0.25 liter ¼ cherry juice
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 tablespoon kirsch, (but does not have to be)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Knead the dough ingredients on a low setting until crumbs form. Press 3/4 of the dough into a greased springform pan.
  2. Drain the sour cream.
  3. Mix the cornstarch with a little juice. Remainder Bring the juice to the boil, add the vanilla sugar and thicken with the starch. Bring to the boil briefly - then add the cherries and season with kirsch to taste.
  4. Spread the cherry mixture on the floor and crumble the remaining dough over it.
  5. Bake at 200 ° top and bottom heat for 25-35 minutes.
  6. After cooling, dust with powdered sugar.
