Instructions

  1. Knead flour, lukewarm milk, yeast, and approximately 150 g melted butter into a dough. Divide into 3 equal parts. Cover and let rise for 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Roll out each of the 3 parts into roughly equal rectangular shapes. Brush each with the remaining melted butter. Sprinkle roughly equal amounts of sugar and cinnamon on each piece. Roll up each piece.
  3. Using a sharp knife, cut each rolled strand halfway through from one end so it gapes apart. Braid the 3 strands together. Cover with a cloth and let rise for 40 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 210°C (410°F). Optionally brush the braid with beaten egg before baking for a shiny finish. Bake for 40 minutes until the braid is golden brown.
  5. After baking, brush the braid with the sugar glaze.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
