Instructions

  1. For about 175 ml syrup, simmer the rock candy with the spices and water in a saucepan over medium heat for about 20 minutes. Don`t put a lid on it!
  2. Let the syrup with the spices cool down and strain through a coffee filter bag. This makes it nice and clear. Then fill into a nice bottle and store in a cool and dark place.
  3. Tastes good in coffee or tea and is wonderfully suitable for seasoning pastries or as a dessert sauce. Also good with American pancakes or crepes!
  4. Also have a look at the Espresso Nut Cake!

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
