Ingredients

  • 1 part (s) citrus fruit juice
  • 1 part (s) sugar
  • 0.5 ½ part (s) water
Citrus Syrup
Citrus Syrup

Instructions

  1. Squeeze citrus fruits and measure the juice. Heat half the amount of water with the same amount of sugar until it boils. Add the fruit juice and bring to the boil again briefly. Fill the syrup directly into bottles and close them.
  2. If you use larger quantities and wake bottles, then boil them down at 90 ° C for 30 minutes.
  3. This basic recipe can also be used to process small amounts of citrus fruit juice into syrup.
  4. Especially when you have used the zest of organic citrus fruits, they do not last long and so you can keep the juice quickly.
  5. The syrup can be used to prepare lemonades or desserts.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
