  • 500 g currants or wild berries (frozen)
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 2 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 4 tablespoon flour
  • 200 ml milk
  • 2 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • Fat for the shape

Instructions

  1. Thaw the frozen currants or wild berries at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  3. Grease a flat baking dish with fat and place the thawed berries in it.
  4. In a bowl, whisk the eggs with 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar for 2–3 minutes until frothy.
  5. Stir in the vanilla sugar, flour, and milk until the batter is smooth.
  6. Pour the batter over the berries.
  7. Bake at 220°C (428°F) for 15 minutes until the top is golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and dust with 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar while still warm.
