Clafoutis with Apples

Ingredients

  • Flour – 100 Grams
  • Sugar – 100 Grams
  • Milk – 300 Milliliters
  • Eggs – 4 Pieces
  • Apples – 3-4 Pieces
  • Raisins – 50-100 Grams
  • Vanillin – 1 Piece
  • Cognac – 3 Art. spoons (or rum, liqueur)
  • Salt – 1 Pinch

Directions

  1. Sift flour through a sieve. Add sugar and a pinch of salt. It is better to take flour, of course, of the highest grade. It’s a French pie after all.
  2. Gradually pour milk into the flour, stirring the lumps thoroughly. Then we drive in eggs and beat everything with a mixer until a homogeneous fluffy mass. And don’t forget to add vanillin for flavor!
  3. Wash the apples and peel them. In principle, this can not be done (in the sense that the taste will not deteriorate with the skin). But according to the French recipe, everything should be tender and airy. Cut into thin slices.
  4. Before you start cooking, it is better to soak the raisins in cognac beforehand. If you are making a cake for children and are very afraid of the child’s body’s reaction to alcohol, then it is better to do without it at all. I will use a traditional recipe and add some spice with brandy.
  5. Put the apples in a greased form, sprinkle them with raisins. The remaining alcohol is mixed with the dough. Pour the batter over the apples, bake them in the oven at 180 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
  6. If you want your pie to be fuller and fuller, just add more flour to the dough. But it will already be a charlotte. Our main thing in the dough is eggs. We take out the cake, put it to cool under a towel. This cake has an omelette structure and should appeal to sophisticated people.
