  • Ground black pepper – 0.25-0.5 teaspoon

  1. Cut the beef tenderloin into steaks approximately 2-3 cm (0.8-1.2 inches) thick.
  2. Pound each steak lightly to even thickness.
  3. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over high heat until shimmering, about 1 minute.
  5. Place steaks in the hot pan and cook on the first side for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Flip the steaks and cook on the second side for 2-3 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 63°C (145°F).
  7. Pour the pan juices over the steaks when serving.
